Our Offer as a Good Life Collaborative:

We are a diverse range of organisations, working across the region. Most of us have self advocacy at our roots and work hard to support Inclusion, Rights and Justice.

We work collaboratively on local, regional, and national levels to develop innovative solutions and be part of a powerful change movement.
Some of the areas that we can support you with:
  • Planning and thinking differently with people who may need more complicated support solutions. Some of our organisations are experts in person centred planning, individual service design and life planning, supporting people in Care and Treatment Reviews.
  • Getting people involved in meaningful ways, such as setting up citizen councils and other engagement opportunities to encourage local leadership and drive positive change.
  • Amplify the voices of people who are in hospitals or prisons to shape and influence the communities they will return to, ensuring these environments are welcoming and supportive.
  • Leadership academy – supporting the movement of self-advocacy and citizen advocacy.
  • Building advocacy awareness and understanding across the health and care systems.
  • Working with people with more complicated needs and how we hear their voice and support their engagement.
  • Co-designed and co-delivered training including our Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training and training around Communication, Inclusive Employment and Health Conditions including mental health and cancer.
  • Facilitating service user forums, self-advocacy networks, expert influencers and supporting inclusive boards.
  • Supported Employment – working with areas to help grow and design their offer, for example People First’s Creating Careers Programme and Bridge Creative’s In-Work Support service.
  • Supporting the system to think differently and innovate, testing out different solutions.
  • Converting documents to accessible formats such as Easy-Read.
